omschrijvingStirrup hilted sword. The hilt consists of a stirrup guard- lion's-head pommel and ivory grip with copper wire. The langets are engraved with a foul anchor. It has a broad- straight blade with one broad groove/fuller. The scabbard is black leather with brass gilt mounts. There are 'D' rings on each locket and a frog stud on the top locket. On the blade is the inscription: 'GR- J J Runkel Solingen'. This sword forms part of the Spinney Collection comprising sixteen swords- five dirks- three pistols AAA3114 (pair)- AAA3115.
