omschrijving'Worcester' v 'Conway' boat race trophy. Silver two-handled cup standing on a square wooden plinth. The cup is of shallow bowl shape, with inscriptions on each side rallying the 'Worcester' and 'Conway' crews respectively. It is set on a knopped stem with a round foot, which is mounted on a square silver base. This stands on a cube of ebonized mahogany with a silver plaque on both sides recording 'Worcester' as the winner every year between 1929 and 1939, and again in 1959. One side of the cup is inscribed: 'Pull, Worcester, pull, until the truth be seen Whether the Thames or Mersey be the queen'; the other side has: 'Come, brother Conways, come and lift your boat A length ahead of anything afloat'. The silver plaque on one side of the base is inscribed: 'Worcester-Conway Boat-race. This Cup was won by the Worcester 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1959'.
