omschrijving | Bogus tea caddy said to have been owned by Nelson.
French silver oval tea caddy with beaded borders, with a close-fitting cylindrical cap, also with beaded borders. The body is engraved with initials 'N&B' surmounted by a viscount's coronet, with crossed anchors below, each with a short length of rope attached to the ring. There is a slide-out silver section in the base to fill the caddy.
It is part of the collection of 'Nelson relics' formed by John Corbett MP for Droitwich, and presented by his brother Dr Thomas Corbett to the Nation.
