omschrijving | Silver goblet engraved with the arms of Vice-Admiral Lord Nelson (1758-1805).
The ovoid bowl is set on a tapering stem on a circular foot with a gadrooned edge. A gadrooned circlet joins the base of the bowl and the stem, with zig-zag decoration above and below. There is a deep decorative floral border at the top of the bowl and a narrow band on the foot. The bowl is gilt on the inside.
One face has the engraved coat of arms of Nelson, with a viscount's coronet and mottoes 'PALMAM QUI MERUIT FERAT' and 'TRIA IUNCTA IN UNO'. Another face has initials 'N' and 'B' with two viscount's coronets. A third face has the chelengk and naval crown to the left, a viscount's coronet above a duke's coronet in the centre, and the San Josef crest (unnamed) on the right, and with the motto 'FAITH & WORKS'.
