omschrijving | A Pratt ware plaque, painted in colour with a naive depiction of a brig with three headsails set. She has a figurehead possibly representing a mermaid with a mirror and comb, and 'Leith' inscribed on the stern. Two blue pennants are flying from the mastheads and men are shown on the yards and bowsprit. The vessel is coloured brown and ochre on a blue sea within a border of brown and ochre dots. There are two holes pierced at the top of the plaque for suspension. 'Thomas Blair' is impressed in copper plate on the reverse. On an old handwritten label on the back 'Plaque made at Prestonpans about 1800'.
