omschrijving | A half-pint, cream-coloured earthenware coffee pot and lid with a transfer-printed blue border. There is moulded decoration on the rim, knop and handle. The handle and edge of the lid are decorated with blue hand-painted lines and there is a blue dot on the knop. The coffee pot is printed on the base with a garter inscribed 'THE BLUE FUNNEL LINE' (Alfred Holt & Co. Ltd. Liverpool) enclosing the house flag of the company - blue with the monogram 'A H' on a white diamond in the centre. The retailer's mark 'EILLS L'POOL' is also printed on the base. One of four identical examples, AAA5612-AAA5615. The Blue Funnel Line of Liverpool ran steam services to the Far East and Australia from 1866.
