omschrijvingEarthenware teapot, transfer-printed in blue with an overall wave design, on each side a scallop-shaped reserve a ribbon inscribed 'TRAFALGAR' placed across the staff of a British ensign, flying above a gun, laurel branch and inverted foreign flags. The trophies are flanked by a pyramid and crocodile representing the battle of the Nile, and a fortress representing the battle of Copenhagen. Both shells are between a pair of tritons blowing on seashells, their tails entwined. The teapot has a border of crossed Union Flags, foul anchors, palm and laurel sprays, and the chief from the shield of arms of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). This is repeated on the lid, which has a round knop. The teapot is round in shape with a raised flange.
