omschrijvingTeacup, part of a tea service reputedly belonging to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The cup is waisted and the upper part only is fluted with a decorative gold rim. It is painted with small sprigs of coloured flowers and leaves, and around the border there are three gold lines interwoven with a continuous blue riband. A small flower sprig is painted inside. The maker's mark is painted on the base. There are two similar teacups in the museum's collections AAA4631-AAA4632.
